Dear teachers and talented students!
We are pleased to announce that the third edition of the local history research project (2021-2022) for students was approved and is carried out with the financial support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the European network EUSTORY, established by the Körber Foundation -Stiftung, from Hamburg, Germany. In the Republic of Moldova, the project is managed by AO “DVV International Moldova”, the Representation of the German Association for Adult Education in the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with ANTIM – National Association of Young Historians of Republic of Moldova.
The title of the 3rd edition of this contest is “Dialogue between generations at 30 years of independence”.
The competition aims to create a motivating framework for research of recent local history. Middle and high school students have the opportunity to research history in a captivating and creative way: identifying people and life stories, which will describe childhood and school years in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods; collecting and analyzing documents from personal or institutional archives; framing the historical period and comparing experiences and feelings of Soviet Moldova with Republic of Moldova after independence; identifying the aspects of historical context, personal perceptions of the protagonists and comparing the realities from the two mentioned intervals.
