Dear teachers and talented students!
We have a great pleasure to announce that the History Competition Project for the students is approved for the 4th edition, 2023-2024 and is being supported financially by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the European network EUSTORY, established by the Körber-Stiftung Foundation, Hamburg, Germany. In the Republic of Moldova, the project is implemented by DVV International Moldova, in cooperation with ANTIM – National Association of Young Historians of the Republic of Moldova.
The subject of the 4th edition of this competition is “Disclosure of propaganda in 20th Century History – An Appeal for Peace and Development”. The competition has the aim to create a motivating context for research in recent local history. Pupils and students have the opportunity to research history in an interesting and creative way: identifying people and life stories describing childhood and school years in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods; collecting and analyzing documents from personal or institutional archives; framing the historical period and comparing experiences and life stories in Soviet Moldova and in the Republic of Moldova after gaining independence; identifying aspects of historical context, personal perceptions of the protagonists and comparing the realities of the two time periods.
